Where is the RSS feed in WordPress?

Every WordPress site has an RSS feed with the latest posts. There are also feeds per category and for comments:

https://www.example.com/feed/
https://www.example.com/category/news/feed/
https://www.example.com/comments/feed/

Show an external RSS feed with the RSS block

WordPress has a built-in block called RSS. Add the block, paste an RSS link and choose how many posts to show. The block is simple but offers few design options.

Show RSS beautifully with an RSS widget

For images, cards, a carousel or your own colours, create a widget in RSS APP and paste the code into a Custom HTML block. The widget loads only when visible and does not slow your site down.

  1. Create an RSS feed in RSS APP.
  2. Create a widget and choose layout and colours.
  3. Add a Custom HTML block in WordPress.
  4. Paste the code and save.

RSS questions

How do I disable RSS in WordPress?

There is no setting for it. It requires a plugin or theme code. It is usually better to keep the feed.

How many posts does the WordPress RSS feed show?

Set it under Settings → Reading → Syndication feeds show the most recent.

Is there a WordPress plugin from RSS APP?

A dedicated plugin is on the way. Until then the widget works in a Custom HTML block.
